Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, stands as a poignant commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved Black individuals in the United States. The Intrepid Museum has undertaken a rigorous examination of Intrepid's complex history through our Full Muster project. This introspective initiative confronts the vessel's past, marred by segregation and inequality. Through the Full Muster project, along with enhancements to our permanent exhibitions and deliberate scheduling of educational and public programs, we endeavor to foster greater awareness and understanding of these issues, not solely on Juneteenth but throughout the year. https://bit.ly/4bhm0yc
