Key takeaways from the robust discussions at #3PRM Summit. Thanks to Compliance Week for a great learning and networking experience in Atlanta. ✅ While bribery and corruption are binary, #ESG is more complex. Many 3PRM compliance professionals in the session felt they need more support from SMEs and clearer standards and guidance. A fantastic #childlabour case study from Bayer spurred insightful group discussions on #ethics, responsible leadership, social initiatives in emerging markets, and global-local tensions in corporate social responsibility. ✅ Effective third-party due diligence should leave no surprises, but the tension between the risk information available and business decisions persists. ❓ ✅ Many sessions explored the difference between a culture of ethics vs. a culture of compliance. Engaging multiple stakeholders in building ethical cultures and creating value-adding partnerships between the business and compliance is still trending. Think of Compliance as “the office of right decisions,” not “the department of no that no one wants to work with.”

Katharina S. and Charlotte Ball are back in London after a great time at the FCPA & Anti-Corruption for the Life Sciences Industry Forum at the New York City Bar Association last week. The engaging, often collaborative, discussions covered wide-ranging topics from the anti-corruption crackdown in China, challenges for Latin America, to Third Party Management. It was encouraging to speak to so many people dedicated to making our world safer, fairer and more just. A key takeaway was the importance of tailoring your anti-corruption efforts by leveraging technology and artificial intelligence across a multi-tier distribution network.
