April - June 6, 2024, a very motivated GETEC team participated to the digital 2024 Firmenstaffel competition, in which employees of participating add every kilometer run or walked to the total company score. We are very proud of the performance of our employees in the 2024 edition! Over 10 weeks, 270 participants in 4 countries covered a total of 𝟯𝟱,𝟲𝟭𝟱.𝟮 𝗸𝗺 and thus reached 2nd place in the overall ranking. They showed fantastic team spirit and ambition. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿, 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 (German version below) We are proud to play a key role in the development of the Green District in Trier, Germany. Covering an area of 76,291 m², this project will feature 41 modern buildings housing a total of 1,127 residential units. Our mission is to provide innovative heating and potable water solutions that are both efficient and climate-neutral. The planned energy center will utilize cutting-edge technologies such as air-to-water and water-to-water heat pumps. Additionally, a gas-fired boiler plant will be implemented to cover peak loads, ensuring high supply security. We continuously optimize the operation of our systems through the use of advanced PLC/DDC technology and remote control systems. These technologies enable us to monitor and adjust operating parameters in real-time, ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability. Darüber hinaus wird eine gasbefeuerte Kesselanlage eingesetzt, um Spitzenlasten abzudecken und gleichzeitig eine hohe Versorgungssicherheit zu gewährleisten.   Wir optimieren den Betrieb unserer Anlagen kontinuierlich durch den Einsatz modernster PLC/DDC-Technologie und Fernsteuerungssysteme. The project is a milestone for sustainable energy and electromobility at the revitalized office location Paradome in Potsdam. After extensive renovation, this historic industrial monument is being transformed into a modern office space for the Potsdam Customs Office – a fascinating blend of history and future. 📢 Our very own Thomas Schoepke will be a panelist at the International Power-to-X Workshop organized on 📅 12 May 2024 in Rotterdam by the Sustainable Energy Council and supported by the Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE and TNO, with the support of the Port of Rotterdam.   Thomas will share how GETEC is exploring green hydrogen & ammonia as a key climate-neutral energy fuel technology to support our customers on their journey towards climate-friendlier and smarter energy solutions. We have already upgraded our gas turbines and we can now blend green hydrogen at our own multi-client industrial park in Emmen, Netherlands, and work is underway for the use of 100% green hydrogen.
