But before you dive into the festive hustle and bustle, let's briefly discuss a topic that not everyone likes, but is still important: financial aspects surrounding the organization of Christmas parties 🆘. Don't worry, we'll make it easy and painless for you! 💸 What's the budget? For company events, there's an allowance of 110 euros per person (increasing to 150 euros in 2024). This applies to up to two events per year. So, whether it's a Christmas party or a summer celebration – you can really make an impression here. ➕ Do the math: Make sure you have a handle on the costs. Add up all expenses – location, catering, entertainment. For example: Location: 595 euros Catering: 773.50 euros Fun factor (photo booth): 119 euros Total: 1,487.50 euros ➗ Who was there? Now divide the total cost by the number of actual attendees, not those who were invited. For 15 people, that would be 99.17 euros per person. 👫 Plus one? Costs for companions are added to the employee's total. If the amount per person stays under 110 euros, everything is tax-free. ❗ Attention, attention! If the amount per person exceeds 110 euros, you have to tax the surplus. For example: With a DJ costing an additional 1,000 euros, you'd be at 191.35 euros per person. This means you would have to tax 81.35 euros per person. 🎉 What if the party crew celebrates more often? If you celebrate more than twice a year, you have to tax the additional events. But don't panic, twice a year it's on the house! 😎 So, what does this mean for you? With a little advance planning, you can fully enjoy the festive season in the office – without a nasty shock in the form of a hefty bill from the tax office.
