Retailers have a vested interest in talking up the power of in-store vs above the line media. They get the revenue and margin that would otherwise have gone to media owners. That said: brand owners’ behaviour (in the US at least) suggests that in-store now deserves as much investment than above the line. #RetailMediaNetworks #RMNs #ShopperMarketing #InStoreMedia #RetailMedia
Thanks Ben Miller for the slide. I had to look twice at this when I read it. The growth of the #retailmedia landscape is phenomenal in the USA. I know that Rob Sellers and I always talk about the various studies we have done where recall from instore as strong as TV (and these are pretty old studied by now). I wonder what this might be now given the growth in both quaity and reach in the retail landscape? Hazard a guess Rob Sellers The growth and maturity of the retailer network and the rich media opportunities to help, educate and inspire shoppers in the moment is an exciting and fast moving area. I wish I could share some of the work and thinking we (Klynk Ventures) are doing with our partners in this space. Its a very exciting time both creatively and commercially.
