Learn how the Space and Missile Defense Center of Excellence’s SMD School is using the US Army’s space vision to train expert space Soldiers to combat evolving threats. “In recognizing what our adversaries are doing, it was important for the Army to recognize space as a warfighting domain so we can properly prepare ourselves to deter and compel our adversaries to stop doing things that are counter to the global common,” said Col. Donald Brooks, SMDCoE commandant. “Because of the vision, we know exactly where the Army wants us to go, and that helps us now instruct those students in a much more focused manner.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/ghHWXXvY U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command

HAPPENING NOW at the Military Tactical Communications Summit: John Anglin, Project Manager Tactical Network TMD Chief, discusses network resiliency and reaching satellite nirvana. "We're focused on the ability to consume and utilize [all SATCOM] capability, whether it's deliberately proliferating LEO or MEO or high capacity GEO, whatever is available to the Soldier at that time, being able to consume and utilize that and provide it in a simple way and simultaneously, so they can use it all at the same time. With that being said, we've been significantly investing in an automated PACE capability...and how to utilize a multiple task, multi band, multi orbit type of environment and make it simple, intuitive, and, quite frankly, seamless to the to the user on the ground." #Army2030 #ArmyModernization Army Futures Command U.S. Army DEVCOM Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6 ASA(ALT)
