About The Role
The Vice President for Advancement at Core Education will play a pivotal role in advancing our college partner’s missions by developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy. This individual will work closely with the Senior Vice President for Advancement, serving as a key member of the advancement team, and will actively support Core's College partners in achieving their fundraising goals.
What You'll Do
Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan that aligns with the partner’s mission and objectives, with a focus on major gifts and venture philanthropy.
Case Development: Create compelling business cases for the support of strategic growth priorities of college partners, including financial pro formas, outcome measures, and stewardship.
Donor Cultivation: Develop and execute cultivation, solicitation, and steward plans for major donors, foundations, and corporate partners to secure significant financial support. Act as a liaison between Core Education and its College partners to facilitate collaborative fundraising efforts, including coaching of college leaders on their role in these plans.
Collaboration: Work closely with Core’s institutional partners executive team to align fundraising efforts with the college’s strategic priorities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including program managers, to integrate fundraising with programmatic goals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including College partners, donors, volunteers, and community leaders. Act as a representative of Core Education in external engagements.
Performance Analysis: Analyze and report on key performance indicators, fundraising trends, and progress towards goals. Provide regular updates to the Senior Vice President for Advancement and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or professional certification in fundraising or a related area is a plus.
Proven experience in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies, with a focus on major gifts.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a fundraising team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of the higher education sector and experience working with colleges or universities is highly desirable.
Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and managing donor relationships.
