Role Summary


We are looking for a well-rounded and experienced Mobile Device Management (MDM) Mobility Support Engineer. In this role you will work collaboratively with both business and technical colleagues to execute support our clients critical mobility operations and services. Security, scalability, and sustainability are critical. The position requires the ability to thrive in a team-oriented, user-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be driven by the challenge of solving unique problems in a compressed timeframe while balancing the both business and technical requirements. The role will require someone comfortable operating in a rapidly evolving environment where there is sometimes ambiguity—and where the successful candidate will drive progress toward clarity.


Skills and Qualifications


5+ years of working knowledge of iOS and MacOS in the MDM/EMM space. Mobile device support is essential.

2+ years Bash and/or Python experience to aid in scripting related to workflow management

4+ years leveraging external API calls to interact with data (additional ability to create custom APIs via Swagger, etc. is preferred)

Strong knowledge, expertise, and ability to deploy applications and configurations via Apple Configurator and MDM clients

MDM: Multiple years of Jamf experience is required. Experience with InTune is desired

Jamf 200 (or higher) certification

Apple Business Manager (formerly Apple DEP) experience

Demonstrated experience troubleshooting application installation, network connectivity, and management issues. Experience with VPN, DMZ, and firewall-related issues is also helpful.

Strong understanding of mobile security best practices, including IdP/MFA and device hardening

Experience with assigning devices, cert renewals, APNS, and supervision identities

Accuracy and strong attention to detail are critical components of this role

Monitoring and triage/help desk desk ticketing systems

Documentation skills - creating and updating knowledge base articles

Adhere to team best practices, including utilizing a measure twice, cut once mentality

Working in fast-paced production environments, where attention to detail and the ability to multitask are vital

Ability to adhere to and meet deliverables following strict service level agreements (SLAs)

Must demonstrate strong organizational skills

Ability to take initiative and collaborate across teams

Excellent communication skills


Preferred Skills


  1. Experience with Ivanti/MobileIron as an MDM platform (in addition to Jamf, and with or without Intune)
  2. Programming languages (Python, Go, Swift, Bash)
  3. Experience with Jira Service Desk/Confluence
  4. Ability to build and modify APIs
  5. Experience with HTML/HTML 5, CSS, JS, ReactJS, TypeScript both web and mobile following platform specific guidelines and building robust APIs
  6. DevOps experience in a plus
  7. Familiarity with code repositories and checking in code.
