We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Underwriter specializing in Health Insurance to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in assessing financial risks and supporting our lending decisions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial analysis, portfolio management, and equity research.
Key Responsibilities
Develop renewal and prospect quotes based on comprehensive data analysis.
Create and maintain templates for efficient correspondence management.
Design and implement tools to streamline the underwriting process.
Support the Underwriting Director in team management and development.
Collaborate closely with Account Management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate rate determination.
Minimum Qualifications
Extensive experience in underwriting special risk, intercollegiate sports, and group health insurance.
Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and solve problems independently.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
