THE ROLE (6-month contract)
The Production Translator English/Spanish will be responsible for translating documents, forms, policies, training curriculum, presentations, and reports. Also, a review of documents is required to identify correct translation. The position requires that you observe production tasks and communicate with the production team. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is needed. You will also be required to travel up to 30%.
Duties And Responsibilities
Written translations of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Forms, Policies, Training Curriculum, Presentations, Reports, and others as required from English to French/Spanish (30%)
Review documents to identify correct translation and make changes as required. (40%)
Observe production tasks and communicate with production team on the plant floor. (15%)
Understand plant production materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), company jargon, processes.
Create a glossary of words that do not translate accurately to French/Spanish
Demonstrate integrity and adhering to highest standards of confidentiality
Weekly online working sessions (15%)
Work with team to identify the best English word to use for future documentation.
Review collected data and complete documentation.
Process training
Work on emergency documents
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in written and spoken communication: English and French/Spanish
Language interpretation credentials: certification, memberships, training, or work experience
Demonstrated experience providing language interpretation.
Attention to detail.
Work independently and in a team setting
Travel may be required within USA and Canada.
Advance knowledge/Experience with Microsoft Office products
Previous experience in Manufacturing environment
