The Senior Clinical Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation, documentation, support, training and maintenance of the electronic health record (EHR) system. Oversees assigned projects and systems with respect to Information Technology.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assists with the planning and implementation of system modifications and upgrades, managing the process of innovative change effectively.
Responsible for designing, building and testing computer applications as required to support assigned applications and in accordance with established standards.
Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, coordinate and conclude assigned projects.
Designs and implements new methods, procedures and systems (both automated and manual) to improve the processing and flow of information within the organization.
Develops and provides documentation of the system specifications, including system scripts, system installation procedures, system backup and recovery techniques and system test methods.
Prepares systems for operational use and supports operational tests.
Promotes patient/customer satisfaction, answers inquiries and resolves application issues.
Keeps abreast of current technological developments especially related to electronic health records.
Works collaboratively with information technology, hospital/medical staff, vendors, training and development and others in a customer responsive and professional manner.
Builds and maintains vendor relationships.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in technical, health care or related field required.
A minimum of five years of work experience with implementation and support of information systems in a healthcare setting required.
Knowledge of or experience with computer hardware, software, and operating/information system.
Experience providing application support in a remote capacity.
Licenses/Designations/Certifications:
Technical certification preferred.
