Rose Li and Associates, Inc. (RLA), a growing professional services firm based in Chevy Chase, MD, seeks a full-time Scientific Research Analyst / Coordinator in the Division of Scientific Research & Analysis. In this role, you will provide strategic and tactical leadership to help RLA team members and our government, academic, and corporate collaborators to help move science forward. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to manage simple and complex projects on time and within budget, communicate effectively with team members and external clients, and keep focused on the company’s vision for sustainable growth while executing on the day-to-day requirements. Please note that this role is a hybrid one: candidates must have the ability and willingness to commute regularly (averaging at least two days/week) to our Chevy Chase, MD office, periodically attend meetings throughout the greater DC/MD/VA region, and occasionally attend meetings out of town including foreign travel. This role is ideal for someone with a masters or PhD looking for a scientific career outside of the lab or academia.

Job Responsibilities
- Generate a wide range of communications materials, including formal reports, working group minutes, peer review summaries, fact sheets, draft journal articles, press releases, video scripts, and strategic plan text
- Attend and document scientific meetings (both in person and via web or teleconference) on a regular basis, capturing high-level outcomes and action items quickly and accurately
- Conduct literature reviews and prepare bibliographies on unfamiliar science topics
- Additional tasks may include data analysis, project management, and proposal writing
- Coordinate team of colleagues and collaborators in defining, implementing, and measuring the tasks necessary for project success
- Build relationships as necessary for program expansion and stability
- Manage project expenses to stay within the budget, track spending, and work closely with RLA Finance Team to ensure timely and accurate payment processing and reporting
- Anticipate client requirements and needs, keep abreast of industry or technology shifts that will impact RLA’s service delivery and create new business opportunities
- Manage projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality products on time and on budget
- Work with clients and staff to resolve conflicts when necessary
- Support quality review and events or projects as needed
Required Skills and Experience
- Documented experience related to aging, neuroscience, machine learning/artificial intelligence, economic modeling, technology development/commercialization, environmental science, science policy, health economics, population studies, or epidemiology, and a track record of bridging technical fields beyond formal academic training
- Advanced degree in relevant scientific or technical field
- Experience with succinct report generation or literature reviews
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Professional presence with clients and staff
- “Can do” attitude and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment with a flat organizational structure
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously, on time, and with limited oversight
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in building systems and policies
- Proficiency with standard applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Adobe
- Demonstrated competency with project/resource software and ability to learn new applications quickly
- 5+ years leading teams to execute on federal awards and/or projects
- Capability in assessing technology adoption options for business processes or project implementation
- Expertise and experience in leading and training teams
- Experience working with remote team members
- Experience with scaling teams and organizations
- Experience with qualitative analytical methods
