• 3-5 years of safety experience in waste management, supply chain, transportation or manufacturing

Job Description

A waste management company based out of New Jersey is looking to add a Safety Supervisor to oversee their New York City market which includes Bronx, Brooklyn and Jersey City. This individual will be responsible for an array of duties including observation ride alongs with drivers, training drivers, ensuring safety policies and procedures are being followed, corrective action when necessary, documentation of incidents and investigations and ensuring the overall safety of the employees and the facilities.

This individual should come from a safety background, familiar with OSHA standards and preferred if they have a CDL. It is not necessary to come from the industry, but individuals must have some exposure working with large diesel trucks and drivers.

This is a permanent role that requires onsite 5-6 days a week as well as some night shifts. The salary range is $90,000 to $95,000 USD with the potential of a yearly bonus. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
