Take an active role in safety by attending Safety Meetings.
Understand and complete Velocity safety reporting.
Attend the Production Meetings and discuss quality performances and stats to management.
Communicate with employees in the Quality Department about issues and tasks that need to be completed.
Work side by side with Production in order to perform quality checks and evaluate the effectiveness of quality checking equipment and procedures.
Learn and perform the Cardinal Corporate Audit throughout the IG department and its supporting departments such as the Mezzanine and Cutting / Tempering Departments.
Lead and execute investigations into causes of defects, find solutions for preventing them, and document/distribute solutions to necessary parties, effectively.
Develop and update procedures for all areas of the Plant when necessary and accurately maintaining their integrity and availability.
Assist in improving working conditions and efficiencies as the need arises.
Address vendor product issues such as rejects or packaging parameters.
Travel to customers and job site issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Two years (24 months in total) work experience at Cardinal IG.
Must be able to use Outlook, Excel, Word and other relevant Microsoft Office products.
Must be organized and detailed orientated.
Excellent work performance.
Zero progressive discipline in the last six months.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively and team lift 100 pounds per Cardinal standards.
Able to adapt to changes in deadlines and nature of assignments.
Strong analytical skills and a logical thinker.
Proficient communicator both verbally and in writing/typing.
Dependable, professional, motivated, and productive.
Helpful by nature, with a positive attitude and excellent social skills.
Able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute or be able to achieve this speed within one year of acquiring the job.
Able to count lites, see defects, read and understand measuring devices, and inspect glass efficiently.
Able to be on your feet for an entire shift at a time.
Able to see and identify different color coatings.
Able to use hand-eye coordination required to operate mechanical equipment.
Able to follow directions.
