Job Summary: The Manager, Program/Project III (MANP3) is responsible for leading and overseeing complex programs and projects within the U.S. Navy sector. This role involves managing engineering, financial, risk management, scheduling, and planning activities, ensuring tasks progress as planned. The MANP3 will provide technical oversight, monitor performance, and ensure milestones are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program/project management, specifically within U.S. Navy programs, and hold a PMP certification. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage large-scale research and development, test and evaluation, new construction, and mid-life modernization programs.
Oversee all aspects of program/project management, including engineering, financial management, risk management, scheduling, and planning.
Provide technical oversight and guidance to ensure project milestones are met and performance standards are maintained.
Monitor and report on task progress, addressing any issues or risks that arise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and performance.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a managerial discipline.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in program/project management.
At least five (5) years of experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations.
Five (5) years of experience managing large-scale research and development, test and evaluation, new construction, and mid-life modernization programs.
Proven experience in meeting milestones, providing technical oversight, and monitoring performance.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the U.S. Navy sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a related field.
Experience with advanced project management software and tools.
Additional certifications related to program/project management or the U.S. Navy sector.
