Practice Innovation Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking a Document Automation Analyst to join our Practice Innovation team. This role will be crucial in developing, implementing, and optimizing document automation solutions and other innovation tools to enhance the firm's efficiency and innovation capabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders to drive technology-driven service improvements, playing a pivotal role in scaling our automation offerings and supporting broader innovation initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Create and manage document automation solutions for internal and client-facing projects.
  • Contribute to the firm’s broader innovation initiatives, including the development and integration of generative AI tools and products.
  • Collaborate with practice groups and other stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
  • Develop, test, and deploy document automation tools using industry-standard platforms.
  • Maintain and improve existing document automation systems to ensure they meet evolving needs and standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements based on user feedback and technological advancements.
  • Ensure consistent documentation and training materials are available for users of automation tools.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure automation projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify and explore new opportunities for automation and efficiency within the firm's operations.
  • Assist in the monetization of automation tools through direct and indirect revenue-generating strategies.
  • Provide training and support to users on how to effectively utilize document automation tools.
  • Develop best practices and guidelines to ensure the optimal use of automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a role focusing on document automation or legal technology solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with formatting and styles in Microsoft Word.
  • Proficiency in document automation platforms (e.g., Contract Express, HotDocs, Documate/Gavel).
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, jinja2, and docassemble) and scripting for automation purposes.
  • Familiarity with no-code/low-code automation platforms (e.g. Neota, Bryter, Power Automate).
  • Strong understanding of legal document processes and workflows.
  • Experience with Jira and Scrum is a plus.
  • Experience working in a law firm or with attorneys is a plus.
  • Initiative and problem-solving abilities with a focus on building it better and continuous improvement.
  • Keen interest in technology and innovation, and ability to quickly learn new platforms.

Benefits

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $69,000 and $104,000. In accordance with New York City’s Wage Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this New York City position is between $73,000 and $110,000. In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $68,000 and $108,000. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities act, the expected salary range for this Washington position is between $74,000 and $110,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
