Culture is an organization’s most important asset. But culture isn’t what it used to be. Companies are having to think differently and more innovatively about how they build cultures where their people can thrive. Progressive HR functions are leading the way, blending a deep understanding of people with a creative mindset that is experimental, agile, and grounded in design thinking. Join our conversation on July 10th to hear from leading CPOs about a new approach to building strong cultures. This week, 25 countries signed on to a Media Freedom Coalition⁩ letter condemning the sham trial of our colleague, WSJ reporter Evan Gershkovich, saying “Mr. Gershkovich’s case is, unfortunately, illustrative of the Kremlin’s choice to launch a systematic assault on media freedom rather than allow honest reporting on its crimes in Ukraine and its repression at home.” Evan has been wrongfully detained for 469 days–with each day an outrage and an affront to press freedom. We will not rest until Evan is home. Read the letter here: https://lnkd.in/eWDxuA7J #IStandWithEvan #JournalismIsNotACrime

“But brands like The Wall Street Journal, which is known for its journalism and its standard of ethics-these are the places where brands should feel really comfortable running adjacent to news.” Mia Lehmkuhl Libby, SVP of Enterprise for WSJ, joined the AdExchanger Talks podcast with host Allison Schiff to discuss the nuance in which advertisers should think about brand safety, the efficacy of running ads alongside news and the evolution of the digital media industry. Despite the scorching heat and the fierce competition, the Dow Jones Dragon Boat Team captured the Bronze medal in the Mixed Small Boat Race of the recent 23rd Hong Kong Dragon Boat Short Course Races. This competition brought together colleagues from different departments who bond together over their love for the sport. “This is the thirteenth year of the Dow Jones Dragon Boat Team, also the first race after COVID. It has been 462 days since our colleague, WSJ reporter Evan Gershkovich, was wrongfully detained by Russia for simply doing his job. The Wall Street Journal’s Beth Kracklauer penned a moving story about how Evan’s colleagues and supporters around the world are expressing their solidarity by cooking his favorite foods. “Food has always been a love language in our family,” his sister, Danielle said. “And it’s the same for Evan.” Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/eSJR8YXb #IStandWithEvan Photo credit: Lanna Apisukh for WSJ
