The porter works alongside our sales and service departments to ensure our growing vehicle inventory is always front-line ready, showroom ready, and digitally ready.
Compensation: Starting $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (one day of during weekday)
Saturday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (mandatory)
Sundays CLOSED
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring all new and used vehicles are washed, freshly tagged, plated, and have adequate “flair”
Wash/detail sold vehicles and perform quality checks prior to delivery
Wash/detail vehicle inventory as needed
Organize the placement of vehicles on the new and used vehicle lots, service areas, and in the prep areas on a daily (and as often as needed) – vehicle lots are rearranged weekly
Helps perform physical inventory monthly
Make sure vehicles are properly gassed while on the lot (1/4 tank) and prior to customer delivery (full tank)
Maintain company’s fleet of loaner vehicles
Transport cars to clients or to offsite locations for additional work
Attend weekly meetings as requested
Regularly complete safety training as assigned
Winter Tasks:
Clear snow and debris from vehicles after each snowfall
Salt walkways and high traffic areas (building entrances, service drop off/pickup areas)
Arrange and re-arrange lot to ensure proper snow removal
Requirements
This position requires a considerable amount of walking, climbing in and out of vehicles (including large trucks and vans). Work is performed largely outside in the elements, year-round. This position requires the member to drive a standard transmission. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education And/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver's License (must be insurable and ability to drive a standard transmission).
