HR Operations Specialist - Contract

Overview

The Contract HR Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the HR operations function on a day-to-day basis. This role will be heavily included on process improvements, data integrity projects and being on the forefront of employee questions, comments, and concerns. An employee in this role should aim to be a trusted member of the HR team and foster relationships among the employees.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Respond to benefit inquiries from employees in a timely manner.
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork.
  • Bi-weekly HR Payroll data submission support.
  • Liaise with our Payroll department to resolve employees’ questions.
  • Lead employees through the benefit election process and follow up for missing
  • Prepare exit packets and conduct benefit exits.
  • Enter new hires, terminations, and any employee changes into appropriate systems (ADP, BambooHR, PlanSource and Fidelity).
  • Work with IT/Quality/EH&S/Procurement/Finance for new hire processing.
  • Support onboarding process including new hire orientation.
  • Continuous improvement: suggest process improvements when a gap is
  • Represent the HR team by providing excellent customer service, building, and maintaining positive working relationships with the employees, and providing support to other functions within HR as needed.

Required Education, Skills, And Knowledge

  • BA/BS degree and 3-5 years prior experience in Human Resources Operations.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, prioritization and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail placing a high priority on data integrity and security.
  • Strong curiosity to learn more and add to your knowledge
  • Natural self-starter and problem solver that takes the initiative to solve issues.

Preferred Education, Skills, And Knowledge

  • Payroll reporting.
  • HRIS experience (BambooHR/ADP).
  • Familiarity with PlanSource or similar ben admin.

  • Must have visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, and extensive reading.
  • This position requires repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional or remote office environment and requires operating standard office equipment and keyboards.
