Job Description

Purpose of the role: The Teen HYPE Arts Healing Manager will support the organizations mission and values in harnessing the transformative power of the arts to promote holistic health and wellbeing. Promoting our commitment extends beyond our organization’s walls, as we create innovative projects and partnerships that integrate arts and healing centered engagement practices. You will lead the creation and implementation of innovative projects and partnerships that utilize the arts, to enhance health and wellbeing. You will spearhead art and healing initiatives that are rooted in social justice to influence innovation and system changes. The manager will provide supervision to four-person interdisciplinary team.

Supervisory Responsibility: AHS and other Individual Level support staff (including but not limited to volunteers, interns and consultants).

Key Accountabilities

Ø Oversee grant funded macro level projects and initiatives that align with the organization's mission and objectives.

Ø Coordinate and manage all aspects of the systems levels initiatives, including planning, reporting, supervision, and evaluation.

Ø Recruit, train, and supervise a team of program staff, to deliver high-quality services to youth.

Ø Collaborate with community partners, schools, and other organizations to establish partnerships and resources for program implementation.

Ø Work alongside third-party evaluator to conduct annual needs assessments and collect youth program survey data to evaluate project outcomes and satisfaction.

Ø Oversee the delivery of evidence-based curricula for Detroit area middle school and high school youth.

Ø Provide ongoing guidance and support to program staff, to ensure program effectiveness and adherence to best practices.

Ø Monitor program outcomes and track participant progress to measure the impact and success of the programs.

Ø Develop and maintain program budgets, manage expenditures, and seek funding opportunities to sustain and expand the programs.

Ø Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation related to program activities, participants, and outcomes.

Ø Submit required reporting to project officers.

Ø Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in youth development to inform program design and implementation.

Ø Promote program visibility and engage with the community through networking, public speaking, and marketing efforts.

Ø Collaborate with the organization's senior management team to align youth programs with the overall strategic goals and mission of the organization.

Ø Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to apply their agency and find meaning in their work.

Ø Ability to work some nights and weekends.

Preferred Skills

Ø Bachelor’s degree Preferred, some college required.

Ø Five years of experience with two of those in a team management role.

Ø Certification in Healing Center Engagement, First Aid, CPR, and AED, or be willing to trained and certified with 60 days of hire.
