The Finance Director will direct, lead and manage all fiscal affairs for the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) under the direction of the Associate Director. Ensures adherence to appropriate internal control structures and compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations; recruits, hires, supervises; provides training and evaluates GRC business operations staff; participates in short-term and long-term strategic planning activities for GRC; serves as a member of the GRC Senior Staff; cultivates and preserves fiscal relationship between GRC and state sponsors as well as between University research groups; develops and implements long-term financial plans and objectives; develops, implements and administers annual budgets; leads, manages and responds to internal and external audits; oversees, reviews and administers all contracts and agreements, billing and accounts receivable and accounting activities; leads and oversees residual transfers from OSP; oversees reconciliation of expenses to budgets; serves as the department cost center manager: oversees authorization and approval of procurement and travel requests; oversees effort certification and GRC staff compliance to OSU regulatory reporting; develops, implements and periodically evaluates GRC fiscal policies and procedures; advises Director and Associate Director on strategic and operational financial matters; analyzes, interprets and prepares fiscal reports; presents financial reports and performance indicators to GRC senior leadership and leadership at the College of Medicine (COM).
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years of experience is required, 5 with a graduate degree. Also required: extensive fiscal management experience; experience in grants administration in a university research environment; previous supervisory experience. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Considerable experience in a health care administrative or management capacity preferred, particularly in an academic medical center,
