Finance Associate

About:

A Vault 50 law firm in New York City is seeking to onboard an experienced Finance Associate to join the leading Global Finance Practice.

The Global Finance Practice is highly ranked and recognized for its many high-profile and complex financing transactions the team handles in the U.S. and across the world. The firm has received accolades from Chambers Global, The Legal 500, Law360, and U.S. News – Best Lawyers ‘Best Law Firms’.

Experience:

• Candidates must have significant experience in acquisition financings, as the group’s clients consist of many high-profile private credit funds and banks.
• Associates must have experience in assisting with the negotiation of finance documents and ancillary documents; dealing with complex closings; and overseeing post-completion and conditions subsequent satisfaction.
• This position involves direct client contact and will provide many opportunities for business development training and participation.
• Strong academic credentials and law firm experience are required.

Responsibilities:

• The practice group advises leading lenders, investors, borrowers and other market participants across the full spectrum of raising capital, vehicle formation, deal structuring and execution, regulatory compliance, workouts and restructurings.
• The team develops innovative strategies to achieve the business goals of clients ranging from the largest and most sophisticated global banks to opportunistic and special situations funds, and from specialty finance firms and private credit funds to business development companies and alternative investment managers – all across a wide range of industries.
• The team’s experience ranges across all forms of capital, including syndicated bank loans, high-yield bonds, unitranche and other direct-lending financings, asset-based loans, mezzanine debt and preferred stock.
• The group frequently collaborates with the firm’s capital markets, M&A, regulatory, tax, environmental, restructuring and bankruptcy, and other practices, across the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
