Federal Work Study, Student Worker - Health & Public Safety Front Desk
Overview
The Health and Public Safety Division is seeking a work-study student to serve as a Front Desk Student Assistant. Work study staff will assist the Executive Assistants with greeting and assisting students with navigating the various college online tools.
Duties
Assist in greeting guests and answering phones.
Schedule appointments in Starfish.
Assist students with navigating the various college online tools including My Services, Blackboard, Surge Mail and Starfish.
Walk students to other areas of the college as needed, such as the Financial Aid or Registrar's office.
Assist with scanning, filing documents and files.
Retrieve mail and place mail in appropriate employee mailboxes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to problem solve with attention to detail.
Positive attitude and a team player.
Computer savvy.
Minimum Qualifications
The hiring of student workers by Cincinnati State is premised on eligibility guidelines for federal work study employment: eligible applicants must be high school graduates or have attained a GED. Additionally, eligible applicants for work study positions at Cincinnati State must be at least 16 years of age on or before the date of hire. Eligible students must:
Have completed a FAFSA for the current school year.
Meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
Demonstrate financial need.
Be an active student at Cincinnati State.
Hourly Pay: $14.00 per hour
Location: Clifton campus
Work Hours: Part-Time, no more than 20 hours per week Monday - Thursday between the hours of 9am and 4pm.
Students may not work during their scheduled class times.
