Job Summary
The job of Educational Diagnostician is done for the purpose/s of coordinating the student testing and evaluation of early childhood programs; providing information to others; and implementing and maintaining services within established guidelines and standards.
Job Responsibilities
Performs tests for regular and special education students who meet specific criteria for the purpose of providing data to develop student IEPs or identify students with special needs.
Observes students in their classroom for the purpose of providing additional data for IEP development.
Prepares a wide variety of written materials (e.g. reports, surveys, parental releases, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and conveying/collecting information.
Research information on testing methods for the purpose of providing effective testing improvements and recommendations to address a variety of state and administrative requirements.
Collaborates with other personnel and students/parents (e.g. teachers, administrators, counselors, psychologists, Florida Department of Education projects/partners etc.).
Conducts meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for teachers and support staff for the purpose of conveying information for their professional development.
Consistent interaction with students for the purpose of educating students.
Serves as lead early childhood evaluator, including the Child Outcomes Survey (COS) process in early childhood.
Evaluates the paperwork for special education students who transfer into the district for the purpose of completing any paperwork gaps that may exist.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education And Training
Bachelor's or Masters(preferred in Exceptional Student Education, Early Childhood, or Elementary Education
DCF 45 hour within 1 year of hire.
FLDOE certification in K12ESE, Early Childhood or similar.
Minimum Experience
2 year or more classroom experience working with classroom early childhood population.
Experience working with students with disabilities and testing needs of ESE populations
