Overview
As the Director of Supply Chain, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and play a pivotal role in optimizing our global supply chain operations. This position requires a dynamic leader with expertise in strategic planning, team development, and fostering strong partnerships.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of supply chain professionals in managing supply planning across all projects, ensuring optimal inventory levels and exceptional customer service metrics.
Implement lean principles and strategic segmentation to enhance the flow of goods from suppliers to manufacturing and onward to customers.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely product launches using a consumer-centric approach, while minimizing obsolescence.
Oversee supply chain reporting and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
Identify and develop flexible and resilient manufacturing networks to support operational excellence.
Drive process improvements and system enhancements to mitigate cost volatility and enhance operational efficiency.
Facilitate training and meetings to improve productivity, efficiency, and achieve strategic business objectives.
Support acquisition or divestiture activities and contribute to budgeting and reporting initiatives.
Interpret contract requirements and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Travel domestically and occasionally internationally to support business activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (MBA preferred).
8+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in pharma, life sciences, or capital equipment sectors.
Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
Strong negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ERP systems.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in relevant industries (e.g., FDA, ISO-9000).
Certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is advantageous.
