TITLE: Director, FX Trading

LOCATION: Standard Chartered Bank, New York, NY

DUTIES: Implementing Trading strategies for profitability at acceptable risk while developing further the market share of SCB with corporate and institutional clients, particularly but not exclusively, in offshore Sub Saharan and Middle East/North Africa (MENA) markets. Assist in developing and implementing trading strategy. Actively participate in the market to provide the best possible pricing to our customers while strictly adhering to the bank's and regulatory frameworks. Tailor our current product portfolio to the needs of individual clients. Actively seek new clients and particularly to promote offshore Sub Saharan and MENA markets with current clients in coordination with the sales teams. Provide an accurate and timely product pricing services to sales staff to meet customer needs at competitive prices and effectively manage the risk for customer transactions. Manage the transaction or portfolio-based risk generated in trading by measuring the risk and adhering to the defined risk management rules and processes. Deepen existing client relationships and work with Sales/RM to identify new prospects and client opportunities. Provide sales desk and competitive pricing and product support. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Standard Chartered Bank policy.

REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Offshore Sub Saharan and MENA products; Working with Sales/RM to identify new prospects and client opportunities; Local market understanding, technical knowledge, and local expertise; Managing financial market risk for bank; Engaging in existing and new local and international counterparties by providing cutting-edge market information to investors and corporate clients for Africa and Middle East; Supporting structuring and debt capital markets with in-depth experience on transactions related to the Sub-Sahara Africa region; and Maintaining and strengthening the risk control culture and ensuring adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures across these regions.

SALARY: $250,011- $250,011/year

HOURS: Full time; Mon – Fri (40 hours per week) EOE.
