Description

The Director of Amazon is responsible for leading our Amazon division. This role requires a deep understanding of Amazon’s ecosystem, including advertising, 1P (Vendor Central), and 3P (Seller Central) operations. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in annual vendor negotiations (AVN) and possess a strategic mindset to drive growth and efficiency for our clients.

For this role we prefer that candidates are based out of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MN, MO, MS, NV, NC, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX, UT, WA, or WI.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Amazon operations for our clients, including business strategy, assortment and inventory management, sales optimization, and P&L ownership.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Team Leads responsible for managing account management teams, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to maximize sales and profitability across 1P and 3P channels.
  • Provide strategy guidance for clients during annual vendor negotiations (AVN) with Amazon to secure favorable terms and agreements for our clients.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team on Amazon best practices, industry trends, and platform updates.
  • Partner with other retailer teams in providing strategic business guidance to clients.
  • Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives and projects.
  • Stay informed about changes to Amazon's policies, algorithms, and marketplace dynamics to proactively adapt strategies and tactics.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in e-commerce operations with a focus on Amazon.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Amazon advertising, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display.
  • Experience leading Amazon CPG brands
  • Proven track record of success in managing 1P (Vendor Central) and/or 3P (Seller Central) accounts.
  • Experience leading annual vendor negotiations (AVN) with Amazon.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively engage with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
  • Experience leading multi-layered and cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of e-commerce trends, industry best practices, and Amazon policies.
