The Deputy Surrogates Communications Director works with the Surrogates Communications Director to execute Biden for President's strategy for amplifying campaign surrogates and allies on broadcast media and across battleground states.

The Deputy Surrogates Communications Director will be responsible for coordinating communications plans around surrogate and principal travel, drafting surrogate preparation materials for media engagements, and developing strategies to increase the visibility of campaign senior spokespeople and surrogates across national and regional platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Working in tandem with campaign's political surrogates and state communications teams to manage incoming requests for surrogate travel and regional media appearances;Creating and executing communications plans around surrogate and principal travel;Preparing briefing materials for surrogates and campaign leadership ahead of media engagements;Creating booking plans and rapid response plans around high-profile key moments in collaboration with Surrogates Communications Director and National Booker;Ensuring that campaign leadership and surrogates' hits are monitored in real time, and;Working with the communications team to determine the value of incoming media appearance and surrogate travel requests.Preferred Skills & Qualifications

A minimum of one to two political cycles in a media and/or communications role;Excellent political judgment and instincts for what drives news;Strong interest in media and politics;Ability to represent the campaign with maturity and judgment;Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills;Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail, and;Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change rapidly.

$80,000 - $90,000 a year
