$64,833 - 77,792 (DOE), 40 hrs/wk, 52 wks/yr (This position offers a hybrid work option once a successful probationary period has been met)

Summary

Working under administrative supervision and with considerable difficulty, this position is responsible for providing technical assistance and administrative support to communities and counties throughout the NACOG Region in the development, implementation, and completion of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) activities, compliance, and administration of other programs and contracts.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Administer program grants to ensure grant funding to communities
  • Conduct labor standards and environmental reviews to ensure compliance
  • Prepare billings, reports, and monitor budgets for all grant contracts to ensure compliance
  • Prepare and coordinate grants applications and bidding processes for all program grants to ensure funding to communities
  • Coordinate CDBG funding for rural governmental entities to ensure accurate and appropriate distribution of grant funds
  • Manage CDBG and Housing Rehabilitation Programs, develop contracts, budgets and billing to ensure program compliance, viability and economic stability
  • Conducts public relations, marketing and builds community partnerships to ensure program representation
  • Conducts all activities involved in income qualifying and prioritizing clients based upon establish criteria for NACOG’s Housing Rehabilitation Program
  • Supervises program staff

Other related duties as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in any related field of study, such as planning or public administration, and 3 years grant administration; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Physical Activity: Frequent sitting, finger use, talking, reading, and listening. Occasional walking and standing. Includes trips to construction sites and clients’ homes.

Physical exertion: _X_ Sedentary; __ Light; ___Medium; __ Heavy; __ Very Heavy. Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amounts of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting most of the time.

Visual requirements: Close visual acuity for compiling and analyzing data; viewing a computer screen; and reading.

Working conditions: Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
