Responsibilities

Intrepid Direct is looking for an innovative Business Application Manager to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for managing a technical team and the technology supporting our internal Agency Operation. You will work closely with our engineering and agency leadership teams to gain in-depth operational knowledge. Using this knowledge, you will assist with developing business application strategy, work to improve business process, and help us scale through automation and technology adoption so that our clients have a modern and seamless experience with our services. Expect a mix of technical hands-on deliverables, planning, monitoring, mentoring, troubleshooting, and leading a small team of talented technical resources. This person should lead by example and foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and transparency.

Key Functions Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Provide day-to-day direction to agency operations technical team.
  • Support our CRM with integrations into 3 rd parties and custom build software.
  • Analyze business processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Lead solution and design review meetings with team based on established shop standards and industry best practices.
  • Assist with triaging, troubleshooting, and solving issues related to business software.
  • Proactively monitor supported technology to identify issues and ensure systems function as intended.
  • Identify and prioritize technical debt with engineering leadership.
    • Integrate plans to address tech debt with ongoing development tasks.
  • Possess an automation and scalability mindset when determining solution direction and understand the tradeoffs that come with both.
  • Be passionate about incremental improvement and team efficiency.
    • Establish team metrics.
    • Monitor and report team KPIs for work cycle times and flow.
    • Mentor-first mentality with team code and design reviews.
  • Supervise software updates, SDLC, and change management procedures for the team.
  • Provide reports on systems usage and operational metrics to senior management.
  • Manage budget for new technology and specific projects.
  • Resiliently motivate team and promote idea meritocracy at all levels of decision making.
  • Provide direct feedback on success and failures with the team.
  • Provide user training on systems as needed.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of direct work experience with contributions in all aspects of the engineering.
  • Proven experience working and supporting Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Ability to document, design, and develop technical solutions to solve business problems.
  • Familiarity with software development best practices.
    • Our technology stack is JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, .NET, with a SQL database.
  • Demonstrate experience with system design and end user support.
  • Proven ability to lead all phases of a project, from idea to implementation.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting a range of systems and integrations.
    • Salesforce debugging
    • APIs
    • DocuSign
    • Identity/Access
  • Ability to document and diagram business process and workflows.
  • Proven ability to analyze and tune a given workflow.
  • Comfortable communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • General understanding of cost modeling principles.
  • Ability to be a team player and to motivate team.
  • Self-motivated and direct, with ability to plan and prioritize work.
  • Assumes other tasks and duties as assigned by management.
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator and/or Platform App Builder certifications.
  • Experience troubleshooting mutli-tier applications with micro services.
  • Professional experience with automation and integration testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using Kanban.
