Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and effectively manage workload.
Comfortable handling day to day client communication and able to work with various client accounting systems.
General ledger maintenance, payroll tax processing and reporting, and B&O preparation (State/Federal/Local); including, but not limited to:
Payroll tax & payroll tax deposit
941, 940, WA SUTA, WA L&I, WA PFMLA (and other States), W-3, W-2
WA B&O (and other States),
Various city revenue tax/B&O
Annual information 1096, 1099-MISC
Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
Classify, allocate, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records using journals and ledgers or computers.
Accurately enter accounting data.
Prepare monthly reconciliation of bank and financial statements.
Prepare sales tax and B&O returns.
Prepare quarterly L&I, SUTA, and PFMLA information.
Provide documents and work with CPA on annual client tax returns.
Prepare and process client payroll accurately and on time.
Must be detailed, organized, and willing to do the entire position.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3 – 5 years of progressively responsible Full-Charge Bookkeeping experience.
Accounting degree or certification.
High proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Working knowledge of Buildertrend or other construction software preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues at all levels in the organization and externally with clients.
Ability to be a team player and collaborate with other team members in the organization.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills including conducting research as needed to evaluate all aspects of a situation.
Ability to function in a highly confidential environment.
Ability to pass a background check (includes criminal and credit) upon receiving and accepting an employment offer.
