On Thursday, we hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the implementation of our brand new laboratory automation system, featuring state-of-the-art chemistry and hematology analytical instruments. The full system went live early this year and is complete with Beckman Coulter’s DxA 5000 Fit Workflow Automation System and DxI 9000 Immunoassay Analyzer. We are proud to be at the forefront of Laboratory Medicine as one of the first Critical Access Hospitals in the nation with these cutting-edge healthcare solutions in place. To celebrate our early adoption of this technology, representatives from Beckman Coulter Diagnostics were on-site to memorialize our partnership and recognize all those involved in bringing the vision to life and completing the project. • We are thrilled to introduce Lincoln Urgent Care, a department of Littleton Regional Healthcare! We spent yesterday morning with existing LRH staff working alongside Urgent Care staff to ensure everything is functioning as it should. We are still working to transition the space, but you'll notice some obvious changes, like the new sign out front! Major kudos to the staff here in Lincoln, all of whom decided to join LRH and will continue to deliver the great care this community has come to know.

  • Littleton Regional Healthcare to Become Sole Owner of Lincoln Urgent Care Site To ensure the continuity of urgent care services in the greater Lincoln region, LRH will assume full ownership and management of the urgent care center located at 33 Railroad Street in Lincoln, NH, effective April 1, 2024. First opened in March of 2022, the center provides comprehensive urgent care and occupational health services to residents and visitors of Lincoln, Woodstock, and surrounding communities and has seen steadily rising volumes over the past two years. The center was initially established as a joint venture between LRH and ClearChoiceMD Urgent Care. With this shift in ownership in April, LRH has committed to retaining all services that individuals in the region have become accustomed to receiving at the center. “We want those who utilize this center, and those who may need to in the future, to know that we are committed to preserving this important regional access point for healthcare,” said Robert Nutter, LRH President and Chief Executive Officer. “The clinic was established to help address the underserved healthcare needs of this region, and based on its usage, we know how important it is to maintain these critical services in this location,” he added. The center currently provides physicals, vaccinations, testing, on-site imaging, and other medical services. Since its inception, the center has been fully supported by the resources and specialties available at LRH and the continuity of care for the patients who rely on these services. It is not uncommon for patients to receive follow-up care in some form directly at LRH. “Increasing access to healthcare is fundamental to our mission, and we will continue to address additional healthcare gaps and needs for those in Lincoln and the surrounding area through the center,” Nutter said. “While there are always outside factors that are beyond our control, we anticipate no disruption to operations at the center during this ownership transition.” Those local to the area and use or pass by the Lincoln center will soon notice a new name and signage with LRH branding, along with other physical updates to reflect the change. LRH opened its first urgent care center in 2019, which is embedded in its Littleton campus. The Lincoln site is one of many satellite clinic locations LRH operates throughout the greater White Mountains region. Photo: Effective April 1, 2024, Littleton Regional Healthcare will retain full ownership of the urgent care center located at 33 Railroad Street in Lincoln, NH. New branding, complete with a new name and signs, will take effect at that time.

  • During the recent holiday season, the Nursing Professional Practice Council (NPPC) of LRH organized a campaign to get staff involved in giving back to the communities we serve. Staff elected to contribute funds to support families in need throughout the region. Dozens of local businesses supported the cause by donating prizes that were then raffled off to participating staff throughout the initiative. The overwhelming support from our staff (nearly $4,000 raised!) was matched dollar-for-dollar by LRH, resulting in almost $8,000 in total contributions. The NPPC coordinated with local schools to distribute the funds to the families that the schools determined could use the support the most. We want to extend our appreciation to all those involved - our staff who never cease to amaze us, the NPPC for leading the cause and so many other beneficial activities, area businesses for their involvement, and the schools for helping disperse the funds as appropriate. Social determinants of health, like access to affordable housing and food insecurity, are topics identified when we complete our formal Community Health Needs Assessment every three years. At LRH, we strive to always support the health and well-being of this region directly and indirectly, and initiatives such as these allow us to do so. • Join us in recognizing the most recent recipient of The BEE Award - Hilary Bradshaw, OT! The BEE Award for Exceptional Caregivers was established in April of 2023 to complement our DAISY Award. Standing for Being Extraordinary Every day, any care team member can be nominated for and receive The BEE Award. Both the DAISY and BEE Awards are presented quarterly and nominations are accepted from patients, community members, and LRH personnel. In the nomination, a patient shared how integral Hilary was in his care during a prolonged inpatient stay following a life-changing diagnosis. He considered Hilary to be instrumental in his recovery and rehabilitation, sharing how she went above and beyond while supporting his extensive therapy regimen. He even explained how Hilary worked with his family to conduct a comprehensive home assessment to ensure the setting met ADA requirements and was suitable for the patient to safely return home to. Hilary has spent all 20+ years of her career as an Occupational Therapist here at LRH and demonstrates time and time again her commitment to providing exceptional and compassionate care. We are "buzzing" with excitement to present her with this honor!
