The Biomedical Equipment Tech II is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment and systems. This includes but is not limited to: diagnostic imaging equipment, patient monitoring systems, surgical equipment, and laboratory equipment. The Biomedical Equipment Tech II will work closely with clinical staff to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and meets all safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment and systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
Order and install replacement parts as needed
Document all work performed in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
Ensure that all equipment meets safety and regulatory requirements
Provide technical support to clinical staff as needed
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency repairs
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of medical equipment and systems
Knowledge of medical equipment safety and regulatory requirements
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
