The Transaction Manager ensures that transactions are carried out in accordance with credit approvals. Monitors transactions and assesses the quality and value of the collateral to ensure that it is maintained on an ongoing basis within the credit parameters as approved.

You and Your Job

As Trade & Commodity Finance- Credit & Collateral Management Transaction Manager, you will be successful in managing risk to ensure that transactions are carried out in accordance with credit agreements.

As Trade & Commodity Finance- Credit & Collateral Management Transaction Manager, you will ensure that transactions are carried out in accordance with credit agreements. You will monitor transactions and assess the quality and value of the collateral to ensure that it is maintained on an ongoing basis within the credit parameters as approved.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor liabilities and collateral under borrowing base, transactional and other facilities.
  • Maintain contact with transaction counterparties (clients, shippers, forwarders, warehouse operators, off-takers, other internal departments, etc.) and give relevant authorizations regarding the release/movement of any goods held by the bank as collateral.
  • Maintain position reports per customer detailing exposure, collateral and outstanding transactions to ensure proper allocation in accordance with the approved facility terms.
  • Asses the quality, value and acceptability of collateral provided in line with the approved facility parameters and control the movement and disposal of collateral as required under the approved facility loans.
  • Collect and collate drawdown information required to process client’s individual transactions.
  • Ensure utilization requests from clients fall within the agreed credit parameters and provide authorizations for each transaction to the back office.
  • Assist with establishing detailed operating rules, procedures and parameters, including administrative organization and internal control (AOIC).
  • Obtain prior credit approval for any transactions which fall outside the agreed facility parameters.
  • Alert RM and risk management of any deterioration in the bank’s credit risk position and any adverse market conditions

To be considered for the Transaction Manager role, you must have:

  • College degree with emphasis on Finance or accounting
  • At least 5 years’ experience in banking industry /operations
  • Strong analytic and spreadsheet skill; attention to details
  • Effective in communicating with others, within the bank and with clients
  • Good understanding of and command over the various systems that aid in monitoring and
  • maintaining collateral positions
  • Effectively interprets legal documents
  • Good knowledge of credit products, trade products, loan structures.
  • Good Knowledge of operational and accounting process
  • Work effectively with colleagues in achieving the Bank's goals
  • Ability to travel regionally, up to 15%

Salary Expectations:

AVP to VP Target Hiring Range: $115,000 - $230,000

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
