MAN Energy Solutions provides a heat pump with a maximum output of 25 MW to Scout Motors Inc. for their new production facility for all-electric vehicles in South Carolina, USA. 🏭 This major venture is part of our multi-billion investment in the American company, which is producing the next generation of fully #electric pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles (SUVs), echoing the #iconic Scout vehicles built from the 1960s to 1980. 💬 Gunnar Kilian, Member of the Board of Volkswagen Group and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAN Energy Solutions, stated: "The cooperation between MAN Energy Solutions and Scout Motors underscores the Volkswagen Group’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality at all production sites worldwide by 2040." The 2024 “World Ducati Week” peaked last weekend on the Italian Adriatic shore with some magic numbers: 🏍 240 official Ducati Clubs present 🏍 Record attendance: 94,000 guests from 86 nations 🏍 40 world titles of legendary and current #motorcycle champions The twelfth edition of the biggest Ducati Motor Holding event in the world was made unique by many activities and opportunities, e.g. meet-and-greets and autograph sessions with #Ducati riders, hot laps and test drives in cars by Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., and performances of stuntmen. Nevertheless, “WDW2024” is also a show that unites the past, present, and future. History came to life through the exhibition dedicated to the 30 years of the famous Ducati 916, whose owners were the protagonists of an exciting parade, led by heroes Troy Bayliss and Carl Fogarty. 💬 Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO: "It’s the event that better than anything else embodies our brand's mission to offer memorable experiences to our enthusiasts, created around special bikes, which are a magical combination of technology and beauty in pure Italian sporting style.” Are you a DUCATISTI?

❤ We hope, you liked it! Last weekend our colleagues of Volkswagen brand hosted more than 15,000 guests for the #GTI Fanfest in Wolfsburg. Right next to the main plant, there were #Golf, #Polo, and #Scirocco all over. In red, white, and black, of course! 💬 “I’m particularly pleased that we're holding the first edition of this gathering here in Wolfsburg, exactly 50 years after the first Golf rolled off the assembly line at this very location. Today has once again impressively demonstrated to me, that the three letters GTI are a legend in the automotive world.” says Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Volkswagen brand. 🚗 To finish it all up, yesterday 200 participants got the chance to cruise the very grounds of the factory. 🏆 Congratulations to Porsche factory driver Pascal #Wehrlein for winning the Formula E World Championship! Thanks to a brilliant #team effort at the final race in London, the German reached the flag in second place – earning enough points to defend his lead in the World Championship. He had only reclaimed it the previous day. 🏁 In the teams’ classification, the Porsche AG works outfit took vice-championship honours. With seven wins in one season, the Weissach team set a record. Combined with customer team Andretti Formula E’s win, half (eight) of all victories this year went to the Porsche 99X Electric – more than any other car in the field! Pascal Wehrlein joined forces with Porsche in 2020 to contest the Formula E World Championship and is the first German single-seater World Champion since Nico Rosberg became Formula 1 Champion in 2016.

Elektroautos deutscher Hersteller genießen einer neuen Untersuchung zufolge bei den Konsumenten das höchste Ansehen. 🏆 Zu diesem Ergebnis kommen die Beratungsgesellschaft BearingPoint und das Handelsblatt Research Institute, die für ihren Attraktivitätsindex mehr als 2.000 Menschen in Deutschland befragt haben. In die Berechnung flossen verschiedene Parameter wie Kaufpreis, Reichweite, Stromkosten pro 100 Kilometer, Ladegeschwindigkeit, Innovationsfähigkeit und die Qualität der Marke ein. Besonders erfreulich: Unsere Mitgliedsunternehmen Volkswagen, AUDI AG und Mercedes-Benz AG landeten auf den ersten drei Plätzen. Die deutschen Hersteller konnten vor allem bei den technischen Kategorien und dem Verbrauchervertrauen punkten. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist die hohe Anzahl an Servicestellen. Vor allem von der hohen Qualität der deutschen Marken sind die Kunden überzeugt. Was für effiziente Verbrenner gilt, gilt ebenso für die #Elektromobilität: Deutsche Autos sind Qualitäts-Produkte.
