Raising security awareness, preparedness, and capabilities within the media and entertainment industry
About us
The Trusted Partner Network (TPN) is a global, industry-wide film and television content protection initiative. The TPN helps companies prevent leaks, breaches, and hacks of their customers’ movies and television shows prior to their intended release. The TPN establishes a benchmark of minimum security preparedness for all vendors and their teams, wherever they work, and whatever their specialty. By creating a single, global directory of “trusted partner” vendors, content companies will have access to a centralized database to learn their TPN status. The Trusted Partner Network (TPN) is owned and managed by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) a leader in third-party entertainment industry assessments.

"The swift pace of innovation in technology has sparked both excitement and apprehension. Like any technological leap, AI necessitates careful oversight to ensure accuracy, quality, rights management, and the safeguarding of intellectual property. While embracing AI tools, numerous uncertainties concerning security and confidentiality persist. These uncertainties highlight the need for a cautious and well-informed approach to raise standards for the global media and entertainment community." #ICYMI: Alex Vaughan, Senior Director, International at ConvergentDS, guest authored a post on the TPN blog about AI in the M&E industry. Flying back from LHR to LAX today, and reflecting on what a fabulous week I had in London 🇬🇧 - thank you to everyone I met, drank and ate with! 😊 Our first UK/EMEA TPN workshop was a particular highlight, kindly hosted by Alex Pickering at the BBC Studios with a lively drinks and networking event afterward sponsored by Chris Johnson and Mathew Gilliat-Smith from ConvergentDS. The workshop was attended by a terrific mix of Content Owners and Service Providers which enabled a robust discussion around upcoming and new thinking for the TPN program, and a deep dive into TPN+ data analytics for this region, with a focus on our mission to keep content secure. We have also recently hosted TPN workshops in L.A. and Singapore - please let us know if you'd like to attend the next one and where it should be! With grateful thanks to our UK/EMEA TPN members for their great ideas, feedback and participation: Alan Coates, Soho Square Studios Andy Lampard, MPS Bryan Esparza, Netflix Connor Nolan, Netflix Dom Ho, Blacklist Peter Gibbin, Keywords Studios Danny Chau, Transperfect Fern Sianglam, Apple Gurpreet Chana, BBC Studios Idunn Sofie Riise, Zille Media Jamie G., Sony Pictures Jason Reinstedler, Disney Studios Muhammad Ahsan Rana, VSI Nicola Poupard, Sky Studios Richard Lloyd, BBC Studios Steven Franklin, Zoo Digital Taylor Riese, Signiant Wayne Garb, Ooona #tpn #trustedpartnernetwork #contentsecurity

It's rare to participate in such a safe, collaborative environment and we appreciated the opportunity to do so!
And it's a wrap for our annual technology event BOXfest, this year billed as 'The AI Edition'. We had an amazing day of practical demonstration, discussion and insight from key industry figures covering AI from many angles and positions, what works, what doesn't and where we think things are going in the short term. One thing is clear, we are at the start of a profound revolution in technology and there's a lot to talk about! Really enjoyed the lively conversation and discussions. Thank you to everyone who attended, our panellists, team Boxer and to our sponsors and partners for making this happen. Key takeaways? Trust in the supply chain is everything. There's lots more change to come. We can save money or make revenue in lots of places, from ingest and archive to CDN and delivery, the opportunity is huge. IP issues will be key to adoption. Boutique creatives may come back strong as they can move quickly and adapt to the change. Want to talk more about AI? Please call, we love to chat!
