📈🌎 Poultry Consumption Rises Amid Decline in Overall Meat Consumption Despite a general decline in meat consumption across several countries, poultry is on the rise: 🇩🇪 In Germany, meat consumption hit a record low in 2023 at 51.6kg per person annually, with poultry consumption rising by 7.3%. 🇬🇧 The UK saw its lowest meat consumption since the 1970s, driven by the cost of living crisis and lifestyle changes. However, poultry consumption is up, with a remarkable rate of growth averaging 6.7% a year. 🇺🇸 In the US, while beef consumption has slightly declined, poultry consumption is increasing yearly since 2012, with an expected increase from 2023 to 2024 of 1.5%. 🇸🇬 In Singapore, the average person consumed 62kg of meat in 2021, with over 55% making up chicken, a trend expected to continue. 📉 Why Gen Z and Athletes Are Eating Less Meat: Gen Z is increasingly driven by health, environmental concerns, and social influences. A significant factor is the growing awareness of the health risks associated with meat and the benefits of plant-based diets. Athletes are also turning towards plant-based diets to enhance performance and recovery. For instance, at the 2024 Paris Olympics, 30% of the meals served will be plant-based, emphasizing sustainability and a reduced carbon footprint. 🌱 At TiNDLE Foods, our mission is to provide delicious, plant-based alternatives that meet the growing demand for healthier and more sustainable food options. The evening was a celebration of purposeful and responsibly crafted designs, as well as the visionary people behind them, who make a collective effort towards building a more sustainable future. With this in mind, Tatler Homes made a bold move of serving sustainable drinks and a plant-based menu. 🌱 TiNDLE Foods had the honor to be serving our plant-based 🌱 chicken tenders in the main course, all beautifully prepared by banket chef Jeffrey Tan.
