Our 260 MWdc Tres Bahias Solar project is now powering City of Houston facilities through a power purchase agreement with an affiliate of NRG Energy, Inc. The second utility-scale #cleanenergy project we’ve recently energized in the #LoneStarState, Tres Bahias also represents the largest operating solar project in Calhoun County, Texas and the third largest in the Texas Gulf Coast region.   We are pleased to work with our partners at UnitedHealth Group and Morgan Stanley Renewables Inc., who are providing the tax equity for the project, to make Tres Bahias a reality. We’re pleased to share that our 402 MWac Mineral Basin Solar project has been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to receive up to $90 million in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding as part of the Clean Energy Demonstration Program on Current and Former Mine Land (CEML). Located in Clearfield County, PA, Mineral Basin Solar proposes to repurpose approximately 2,700 acres of former #coalmining land to support the largest #solarproject in Pennsylvania. Mineral Basin Solar was selected as one of five clean energy proposed projects to accelerate #cleanenergy deployment by supporting diverse, locally driven clean energy projects that can be replicated in current and former #mining communities across the country.    We thank the DOE for their support in implementing programs that help support #energy communities and deploy affordable, clean energy across America.

The #cleanenergy industry is growing, and so is the number of students and young professionals looking towards #renewableenergy as a meaningful career path. We are always thrilled by the opportunity to offer guidance and mentorship to these individuals as they consider what a #cleanenergycareer could look like. Last month, we hosted students from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at our Houston office to explore how they can apply the knowledge and skills they’re learning at SAIS to opportunities in renewable energy. Thanks to The Johns Hopkins University for facilitating this great opportunity, which proved to be a rewarding experience for all involved. We’re beginning the year with some exciting news – today we're pleased to share that we’ve successfully upsized our $225 million revolving credit facility to a total of $312.5 million.    Made possible through expanded relationships with KeyBanc Capital Markets, MUFG and CIBC, and new partnerships with National Australia Bank (NAB), Natixis and First Citizens Bank, this upsized facility will support the #sustainable growth of our 10+ GW project pipeline and the execution of our advanced development projects.   With this additional capital, we look forward to continuing to trailblaze a path for #cleanenergy through 2024 and beyond as a leading #renewables IPP. Onward! 

We joined community members and stakeholders towards the end of the year to celebrate the completion of Castle Gap, our 197 MW wind project in central Texas! We are proud of the relationships we have built over the last several years as we’ve developed this project and look forward to operating Castle Gap for the long-haul and generating emissions-free power for the benefit of the community. Our Mineral Basin Solar project in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania was recently awarded a 20-year contract with NYSERDA. The 402 MWac #solarproject, the largest land-based #energy project to be selected as a part of NYSERDA’s competitive 2022 Renewable Energy Standard solicitation, is sited on reclaimed coal mine sites. We’re proud that the development, construction, and operation of Mineral Basin Solar, one of the largest #solar facilities in the US to be sited on former mine land, will continue Clearfield County and Goshen and Girard Townships’ leadership in energy production and show how former mine sites can be innovatively repurposed at scale for a new and restorative purpose in the nation’s energy landscape. Thank you to Senator Bob Casey, as well as local leaders, including the Clearfield County Commissioners and Girard Township supervisors, for their continued engagement and support.
