The Rob and Melani Walton Center for Planetary Health building stands as a beacon of #sustainability and innovation at the heart of Arizona State University’s Tempe Campus. This 281,000-square-foot facility features innovative StoPanel Backup and StoPanel Metal ci solutions, showcasing a blend of diverse #exterior finishes envisioned by the owner and architect. The constrained jobsite necessitated a creative approach to #construction amidst two bustling streets and an active light rail line. Sto Panel Technology rose to the challenge, offering a prefabricated exterior wall solution that could seamlessly integrate with the intricate design. See how the collaboration by general contractor McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., international architect Grimshaw, and local studio architect A R C H I T E K T O N unfolded, streamlining the design process. The team provided a range of exterior finishes, and delivered cost and time savings while meeting the site’s demands. #CreativityBegins here: https://lnkd.in/eqy6-ZFR.

The EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA) is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for funding to support efforts to report and reduce climate pollution from the manufacturing of construction materials and products. EIMA has been selected for a $2.189M grant. With 38 selectees selected for $160M in total funding, these transformative awards stem from the US Congress and The White House's Inflation Reduction Act, which is the largest climate investment in history. The grants are aimed at reducing climate pollution by helping businesses measure the carbon emissions associated with extracting, transporting and manufacturing their products. EIMA’s grant will help the #EIFS industry develop #LCAs and robust #EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) for EIFS products, producing a combination of industry-wide and facility-based EPDs. EIMA intends to contract with a reputable LCA provider with a goal of working with 100% of American EIFS manufacturers (including non-EIMA members) to develop 77 EPDs, covering as many as 1,350 EIFS variations. More information can be read on EPA's press release here https://lnkd.in/gmTdcSjE This ambitious and timely effort would not have happened without the support of #EIMA's Board members, including President Steve Smithwick of Master Wall Inc., Vice - President Jose Berlingeri of Sto Corp., Vanessa Henley (Feldkamp) of Dryvit Systems, Eric Hindson of Sika USA, Rafaël Bao of ADEX Systems Inc., Chuck Robitaille of Dow, Nathan Katz of Saint-Gobain ADFORS, Chip Blome of L&W Supply, Darryl Little of Gypsum Management and Supply and Mike Chaney of James River Exteriors With continuous #insulation integrated into a singular wall system, there has never been a better time to consider #EIFS for a #newconstruction or #retrofit project. The stunning Tuborg Havnepark in Hallerup, Denmark is located in a formerly industrial district that some may recognize by its namesake - the internationally-popular Tuborg beer. In 2008, the factory site began a redevelopment featuring coastline #multifamily buildings that feature building material colors based on the tones found in their environment in Svanemølle Bay, per architect Lundgaard & Tranberg Arkitekter. The #buildings utilize StoVentec Render on the balcony ceilings. StoVentec Render redefines #rainscreen system design and #construction by combining innovative materials with proven products and practices. #CreativityBegins with a wall system that blends unique, elegant beauty with economical construction, and delivers the performance, reliability and durability of a fully tested complete Rainscreen system.

Traditional facade options such as brick, fiber cement, and stucco have been used for #exterior insulation and finishing for years. Although they present diverse #design capabilities, the weight of these materials either takes a toll on the building structures or is limited by easy wear and tear. This leads to the necessity of a profound lightweight facade option - one weighing 8–10 pounds per square foot on average - that provides style, durability, and function simultaneously. Another beautiful project - thank you for sharing and your continued support, Brett!
Our 1515 Surf Ave project is wrapping up, and boy oh boy does this one look absolutely spectacular! This incredible project consists of 26- and 16-story structures that span 470,000 square feet and yield 461 units. I remember the day I heard news of this project, and I knew I had to be a part of it. This project is and will always be a very sentimental project for me as I spent a lot of my early years in Coney Island even eating at Gargiulo’s where these two towers stand. My father, may he rest in peace, was born and raised in Coney Island. He was not in the construction business, but he owned and operated a business on West 16th and Neptune which is a block away from this project. We used to go to the Brooklyn Cyclone’s games years ago which is steps away from this project. And let’s not talk about how many times I’ve been on the Cyclone! King Contracting Group, in collaboration with LRC Construction, LLC and LCOR brought this intricate and very detailed brick design to life by installing over 140,000 Square Feet of custom Glen Gery brick on these two monsters + 50,000 Square Feet of Sto Corp. EIFS Proud of this one, for sure! #KING #ConeyIsland #Brooklyn #Brick #StudioV #Masonry #CMU #KingContractingGroup #LRCConstruction
