  • We're thrilled to share the exciting news that Rebecca Lin, a distinguished healthcare leader and global growth strategist, has joined us at Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs (SAE) as the Vice President of the Stanford Alumni Group. Rebecca is an accomplished professional, and her recognition as one of The Top 25 Women Leaders in Medical Devices of 2023 speaks volumes about her expertise. Currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Potrero, a cutting-edge MedTech AI innovation company in the Bay Area, Rebecca brings a wealth of experience in formulating growth strategies for emerging businesses to achieve global success. Beyond her corporate roles, Rebecca actively contributes to the entrepreneurial community, evident in her role as a lecturer in the Master of Translational Medicine programs at UCSF and UC Berkeley. Her dedication to supporting the entrepreneurial community is a testament to her passion for advancing innovation. At SAE, our mission is to create a supportive environment, fostering a pay-it-forward spirit, and building relationships among entrepreneurs, faculty, and alumni investors. We leverage the power of entrepreneurship, technology, and business model innovation to serve the Stanford community and society at large. Our community approach creates diverse opportunities for professional development, mentoring, and angel investing. In 2023, we witnessed remarkable growth and innovation, with over 250 business plans received and 57 seed-stage companies selected across various sectors, including AI, healthcare, education, SaaS enterprise, and energy, among others. Notably, one in four of these companies secured investments from our active angel investors. Our community has now grown to nearly 3,000 members, showcasing a diverse and dynamic ecosystem. Rebecca’s appointment as Vice President of SAE reinforces our commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation within the Stanford community. The challenges brought about by the pandemic prompted us to adapt our in-person activities, and in response, Rebecca will be leading the charge to fortify community collaboration by rejuvenating our activity platform. The focus will be on enhancing in-person engagements post-pandemic, providing members with a revitalized platform for meaningful connections and hands-on collaboration. We are excited to welcome Rebecca Lin on board, and we look forward to her invaluable contributions as we continue to advance the mission of Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs. Together, we will continue to create a vibrant and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem within the Stanford community. #stanford #entrepreneurs #angelinvesting #community
