Grateful for the opportunity to attend #RTDNA24 in Milwaukee with the Hearst Television delegation! It was the perfect way to celebrate 6 months as News Director. Thanks to my strong support system, including this amazing team of colleagues here who gave advice (and lots of laughs), I feel like I’m officially moving out of “transition” mode where I always felt like a chicken with my head cut off and am now focused and ready for what the second half of 2024 is going to throw our way! #LetsGo Hearst Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA)

Somewhat belated news: last month I graduated from Report for America, and am starting my FOURTH year covering Black communities for Boston Globe Media. There was no better way to start off this new year than visiting Milwaukee for the first time, eating plenty of cheese curds, and accepting the Michele Clark Fellowship from Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) at this year's #RTDNA24 conference. The honor is named for Michele Clark, a CBS News correspondent who was killed in a plane crash while on assignment in '72. Even in her short life, Clark's work made work like mine possible, and I'm extremely humbled to follow in her footsteps. Here's to many more stories and opportunities! (📸: @chorusmediagroup)
