This past week, I had the incredible opportunity to work behind the scenes at the 6th Rocket Mortgage Classic - and it did not disappoint! While some obstacles were presented, the experience was incredibly rewarding. I learned a tremendous amount, fostered new valuable connections, and gained a deeper appreciation for the complexities of executing a major sporting event. A huge thank you to Casey Hurbis for his mentorship and for making this opportunity possible for me. Additionally, I'm grateful to the Brand Experiences and Strategic Partnerships team for their unwavering support throughout the week. Shoutout to the fans who brought the energy to RMC, our countless number of volunteers, and all the teams that went above and beyond to make this event possible. This will be an unforgettable learning experience and I will be forever grateful for my time at RMC. I look forward to the possibility of contributing again in the future!

This week I had a chance to be a part of my first Rocket Mortgage Classic and was blown away. This experience demonstrates the power of community and sport coming together. It’s inspiring to see the best #PGA TOUR players in the world, but what inspires me the most is the way this event embraces and supports our community. Since 2019, the Rocket Mortgage Classic has invested more than $8.4 million into Detroit-based charitable organizations, including $4.3 million in contributions to help take #Detroit from one of the least digitally connected large cities to nearly 70% of the city now having access to high-speed internet, digital devices and training. Congratulations to our champion, Cam Davis, and to all the competitors this weekend. A special shout out to the hard work behind the scenes from everyone at Rocket who brought this event to life. Already counting down the days till next year!

It feels like yesterday... a small, passionate group of us at Rocket Mortgage set out to bring Dan Gilbert’s vision of hosting a PGA Tour event in the city of Detroit to life. When Dan moved our company to downtown Detroit 14 years ago, he knew a key to growth was attracting people and events to shine a spotlight on Detroit and that is where the Rocket Mortgage Classic was born. Fast forward to today as we embark on our 6th Rocket Mortgage Classic, the world is buzzing about Detroit and the world has taken notice – the NFL Draft, the Central Station reopening, the Grand Prix, GM moving to the Hudson Building, and even more yet to come It's a testament to the power of belief, as one of my favorite ISM says: "You will see it when you believe it." Dan, thank you for trusting us, your unwavering support made the Rocket Mortgage Classic a reality. Every day they are writing chapters of the book they are writing of Detroit's resurgence story.
