When we started Resend, we focused on making it easy to send emails and nothing else. That's why we decided to handle billing outside the app. As more users started using the product, we realized this was not the best experience. So today, we're releasing in-app billing: https://lnkd.in/dMK-cbij

Pro tip 🔥 Dedicated IPs are not a silver bullet to prevent emails from going to spam. Here's what you should consider instead... Historically, Dedicated IPs were seen as the primary ingredient to great deliverability. This is not true anymore as Inbox Providers like Gmail have incorporated dozens of other factors like: • Sending history • Domain reputation • Bounces/complaints handling Though Dedicated IPs are not a magic solution, they maintain a very helpful benefit: removing the risk of noisy neighbors. There is power in numbers, and for many people, it can be very helpful to leverage the positive reputation of other senders in an IP pool. For some senders though, they want to maintain their own IP reputation without any chance of being impacted, positively or negatively, by other senders. For them, Dedicated IPs are a helpful solution. When are Dedicated IPs not helpful? 1. Low volume: sending < 30k emails a month may not be enough to keep the IPs warm. 2. Inconsistent sending: sudden changes in email volume can hurt your IP reputation. 3. New domain: if you're just starting out and have no sending history. Q: Are you currently using Dedicated IPs? We hope these tips are helpful!

We've always hated seeing code displayed as an image or screenshot instead of actual text when it comes to email. That's why we're introducing a new code block to improve how you display code in your emails. Full announcement here: https://lnkd.in/dtJStnjS

Pro tip 🔥 Creating an invite like this is not something that only Google Calendar can do. Here's how you can do that with Resend: First, you will need a .ics file. You can either create one manually like this: https://lnkd.in/dvES4k5d Or you can generate one programmatically. To create an invite programmatically, we will use Node.js and the `ical-generator` package. Once we have that, we can send the invite as an attachment using Resend. Make sure to use the appropriate content type and headers for email clients to process it correctly. And that's it! Here's the full example in case you want to run it locally: https://lnkd.in/dcUjujUR

Since I joining Resend, I have had the opportunity to experiment and apply my ideas for a better design process to build high-quality software quickly. Taking into account the industry standard, this process challenges two important assumptions: - how to improve the bridge between design and engineering . - how to conduct research without slowing down the shipping process. To do that, the process works in three concise phases: 🧠 ✏️ Concept: The goal of this phase is to navigate the complexity of the problem through hands-on exploration. When you start designing, you learn more about the problem and have a better understanding of what answers you need. The output is always an overall idea of the solution. ⌨️ 🖥️ Implementation: We aim to move from the concept phase as quickly as possible to keep designing in the browser. We revisit the design as needed without stopping the main implementation, allowing us to iterate with real data and real scenarios instead of imaginable ones ✨ 👤 Polish: After the engineering team finishes the foundation, we start gathering feedback from beta users. The design team then goes directly into the code to improve details and add quality-of-life enhancements. Having a team that can design and engineer with code is crucial Some interesting facts: - Code is the source of truth (no Figma library) - The team is always talking to customers - We test in production with real data - We are a small team (8 people) For a deeper dive into our design process and more examples, check out our new handbook: https://lnkd.in/dSbny6KB
