See you in Detroit! We’re excited to announce that Reddymade’s interactive sculpture, "me + you", will be part of the reopening of Michigan Central ! This new commission of “me + you” aligns perfectly with the program’s vision to foster an environment that promotes dialogue, inspires creativity, and engages the community through the integration of art and technology. Reddymade’s Principals, Suchi Reddy and Kaija E Wuollet, are both deeply connected to Detroit. They are distinguished alumni of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Architecture + Community Development, bringing a blend of global perspective and local insight to their work. Suchi continues her engagement with the university as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board and is a 2023 Spirit of Detroit Mercy: Alumni Achievement Award recipient. Kaija has shaped the Detroit landscape by contributing to local projects like Gold Cash Gold (now Ima) and the Detroit Institute of Bagels (original location on on Michigan Ave), and has been an active member of the CORKTOWN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION INC. Our latest home renovation, a 10,000 SF residence in Beverly Hills, was featured in Architectural Digest today. "If Reddy sounds like an Impressionist painter, it’s for good reason—painting is part of her creative process. ‘I always begin my projects with a series of sketches that evolve into paintings,’ Reddy notes. ‘Any given home is like a canvas that needs fossilized moments to create calmness, flow, and authenticity. 2023 Year in Review | Over the last few months, #inclusivedesign may have become a trending topic but for Suchi Reddy and collaborator Gokul Krishnan Ph.D., Inclusive Guidance Lead at Google, it’s been a longstanding area of study, discourse and application on a quest to aid neurodiverse and neurotypical people through #neuroaesthetics. We won! Exciting news from last night to kick off the weekend — "Look Here," our installation for the Summer Block Party at the National Building Museum in DC, has won Best Installation of the Year at Interior Design Magazine’s 18th annual Best of Year Awards. These awards spotlight the most innovative work in the industry and have become an essential mark of distinction among top architects and interior designers. In other news, framing is underway at our Mountain House in Upstate New York, an exciting ground-up home featuring a striking V-shaped steel column on its west side. This project is one of three ground-up houses currently in construction. We are adding the final touches to the interiors of a stunning apartment in Greenwich Village, complete with exquisite millwork and art curation. We’re thrilled to end the year with this honor and I want to thank you all for your continued support. Another shoutout goes to our new principal, Kaija E Wuollet, whose addition has made a significant impact as we take on new projects across interior design, ground-up homes, retail spaces, public art, and our ongoing research work on neuroaesthetics.
