Our work is funding the people who make Racine County better. We're here for our community - always.

About us

Since 1975, the Racine Community Foundation has funded the incredible nonprofit organizations working hard, every day, to improve lives throughout Racine County. Our grants fund non-profits located in or serving Racine County. Our grant recipients work in the arts & culture, community development, educational, environmental, health and human services fields to improve the quality of life for every Racine County resident. If you live, work or play in Racine County, you’ve benefitted from this work and our support of it. Because of our well-managed, $60+ million endowment, we’ll do this work forever. Additionally, many private donors create scholarship funds to help more Racine County students attend college. We manage 35 scholarship funds established by forward-thinking community individuals, families, and civic leaders who understand education is the foundation for a better future. If you’re thinking about ways to make an impact here in Racine County, consider speaking with us about a tax-deductible charitable contribution. We make it easy for you to create exactly the legacy you wish, whether you choose for it to begin now or as a bequest. With our help, your prudent savings will make Racine County better, forever. • This picture says it all! Congratulations to Iesha Bryant and her family on purchasing their new home, a milestone achieved with the invaluable support of HRI's Homeownership Specialists. Iesha's hard work and determination have paid off, and we are thrilled to see her build generational wealth through homeownership. We’re proud to support Housing Resources Inc. in their mission to empower individuals and families to achieve the dream of homeownership.

  • "Did you see the balloon flag? Thank you to our volunteers who came early to help fill the balloon and then shepherd it down the parade route. Brought to you through a grant from Racine Community Foundation." Thanks for the shout out, 4th Fest of Greater Racine! Glad to celebrate with you. 🇺🇸✨

  • We are thrilled to support the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast as they bring the Girl Scout Promise Program to our community. This outreach model is reaching girls who often lack access to vital community resources. The program inspires girls to explore new horizons and gain practical skills. The team visits community centers, schools, and local events, offering targeted programming to ignite curiosity and foster learning. In these photos, you can see girls at Knapp Elementary learning how to make energy-boosting snacks as part of a curriculum focused on life skills. After creating their snacks, the girls had the fun of taste-testing their delicious creations! We're proud to support initiatives that empower our youth and enrich our community.

  • 💜 At BeLEAF's 2024 Healing Lights: Giving Hope event, Christina Trinidad shared her powerful journey from victim to survivor to thriver. After enduring sexual abuse in her youth, Christina received care from Ascension All Saints Sexual Assault Treatment Center and found restorative support from BeLEAF's advocates and therapist. Now, she advocates for other survivors, co-facilitates a peer-support group, and serves on BeLEAF’s board, using her voice to inspire hope and healing. We are inspired by Christina’s strength and so proud to support BeLEAF's vital work.

  • 🎨 Thriving Thursday at John 23 Educational Center was a colorful success! The RACINE ART GUILD INC joined the students to teach the art of watercolors. This collaboration allowed students to create beautiful projects to enjoy or gift to loved ones. Along with art, the day was filled with expanding vocabulary and sharpening spelling skills through a fun game of Scrabble Frenzy. We’re so proud to support this great collaboration benefitting our youth, thanks to the generous support of our donors. Huge thanks to Racine Art Guild for making this possible! 🌟

  • From our friends at Racine Unified School District: "Do you want to help your community but aren't sure how? Please consider a donation of school supplies! This year, RUSD has the goal of gifting 1,000 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to students at our Back to School event in August. All donations are accepted and none are too small. There are two ways you can contribute: 1. Items can be purchased from this Amazon Wishlist https://lnkd.in/g9gdXZeT 2. Items can be dropped off at our Welcome Center at 3109 Mount Pleasant Street, Racine. (Building 2, Door B, Attn: Rebecca Estrada) THANK YOU!"
