Well, if you ignore it, you’ll get noticed…but not in a good way. Be honest—what did you think when you read our headline? One study found that grammatical errors in website text increase bounce rates by 85% and decrease conversion rates by 8%. In other words, if you don’t take the time to ensure your content is error free, you’ll scare away potential customers and damage your business’s reputation. #proofreading #editing #content

Clients reading your article or website won’t usually pay attention to the grammatical correctness of the text—until they encounter an error. With that one poorly placed comma or misspelling, all the credibility you’ve built up is lost, and the client may think twice about doing business with you. That’s why good writing matters. And how do you get good writing? By having a good editing and proofreading system in place, ensuring each piece of content goes through multiple drafts until it’s polished and perfect. #editing #proofreading #content

…you’ll want to avoid anything that results in your workflow becoming congested and your productivity decreasing. So what can you do about bottlenecks in your content creation? 1. Identify them. This might seem simple, but every business is different. To start, write down your content production process from start to finish, being as detailed as possible. Then look at whether each step can be fully started once the previous step is complete. If there are gaps or overlaps, this is where you’re most likely to find your bottlenecks. 2. Assess your workflow regularly. Teams and tools change over time, and what worked last year (or even last quarter) might not work now. 3. Set KPIs. Key performance indicators give your team concrete numbers and goals to work towards. 4. Make proofreading a standalone part of the process. Errors can cause delays and confusion. Make sure that proofreading is taken seriously and dedicate one or more team members to doing it. You know how important a good online presence is, and businesses that regularly produce good content can see a significant return on investment. But whether you’re just getting started or trying to ramp up, increasing your rate of content production can be tricky. The easy answer is to use a content creation team, but content teams are only as good as the processes they follow. To set them up right: -Decide on your goals and strategies. What you want your content to achieve will determine how you go about creating it. -Establish an efficient process. Creating content involves researching, writing, proofreading, and formatting, and you’ll need a system to keep information flowing through the pipeline. -Prioritize your work and tasks. Do you want to have a large backlog of content before publishing? In that case, focus on article creation. Do you want to create detailed or niche content? Spend time researching and planning. -Address bottlenecks as they arise. Though frustrating, hiccups are inevitable; deal with them as they come up and continue moving forward. -Create a content calendar. Whether you use a print or digital calendar, knowing what you’ll publish and when will keep the whole process on track. Every business, and every business’ online content, is different. You may be trying to sell your products or services, inform or educate your clients, or even just entertain. Be careful, though. Relentless salesmanship can alienate readers. The general rule is that 80% of your content should inform, educate, or entertain, and only 20% should explicitly promote your business. No matter the purpose of your content, make sure it goes through a thorough editing and proofreading before you publish. Because even if you want to entertain, you don’t want your audience laughing at your typos. #editing #proofreading #blog

Over 7.5 million blog posts are published every day, but only 2% of bloggers post content daily. Most bloggers post weekly or several times per month. A high posting frequency helps your SEO ranking and lead generation, but it’s not the only factor. You need to make sure your content is concise, easy to understand, and accurate, and that’s where we come in. No matter how frequently you’re posting, we can make sure your posts show your best face to the world to help you stand out. #editing #proofreading #blogging

There’s a stereotype that blogging is for influencers and underemployed folks looking to fill their time, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Businesses today understand the need for a multifaceted online presence, including websites, social media accounts, and—yes—blogs. In fact, the ROI for businesses that consistently update their content is 13 times more than those that don’t. So if you don’t have a blog (or some sort of ongoing content creation), consider making one. And when you do, we can make sure your content shines. #blogging #editing #proofreading
