About us

At Outdoorsy, we believe “spending time in nature makes you happier, less stressed, healthier, and even slows down the aging of your brain.” You know what else slows down the aging of your brain? S’mores. Next to an open fire. With your dog, your kids, your partner, or your BFFs close by. We are the foremost experiential outdoor travel company (and one of Forbes Best Startup Employers for 2022, for the 3rd year in a row) BUT our “product” is what happens to you when you step outside. We host a growing marketplace that connects hundreds of thousands of guests to millions of days in front of fire pits, beside alpine lakes, in national parks and at family reunions or music festivals. We are proud to be doing this in partnership with thousands of passionate RV owners who we support with success services, leading insurtech products and a vibrant community. We believe that ‘nature is part of human nature’ and we are on a mission to ‘restore our relationship with the outdoors and each other’. The Outdoorsy team is dedicated to activating this mission by breaking down barriers and creating more opportunities for everyone to ‘Bring The Outside in’. Planning Consultant - Scenic Roads, Historic & Cultural Corridors

A few summers ago, I rented a camper van from Outdoorsy and spent two weeks driving scenic roads from North Carolina to Maine and back. It was an amazing experience - 10/10, highly recommend! Outdoorsy just published scenic driving recommendations for every state along with links to nearby RV rentals. Feel free to reach out if you want to know more about my trip or need additional recommendations for driving routes. https://lnkd.in/e_tau7XS

The Outdoorsy Group is proud to support the passing of the bipartisan EXPLORE Act to bolster local outdoor recreation economies and help more Americans get outside. The bill, which does not cost taxpayer dollars will: ▶ Modernize technology to improve visitor experiences ▶ Streamline permitting processes and reduce fees for small business that depend on access to public lands ▶ Reduce overcrowding ▶ Support gateway communities ▶ Make public lands and waters more accessible for ALL Americans!

BREAKING: A broad outdoor recreation coalition led by ORR, Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, and Outdoor Alliance is calling on the U.S. Senate to make history during Great Outdoors Month® and pass the EXPLORE Act to expand access to outdoor recreation for all.   We're in today's Washington Post with our letter signed by hundreds of national and local businesses and organizations spanning the entire $1.1 trillion outdoor recreation economy to call on the Senate to pass the EXPLORE Act, "the most comprehensive outdoor recreation bill for the country’s hundreds of millions of miles of public lands and waters in decades." Thanks to all the organizations who signed on—we are on the cusp of something major!

How does Outdoorsy Co-Founder Jennifer Young find harmony in the hustle as she works to build a $3 billion company? 🚐💨 Read on to discover her 3 simple tips ✨ #Startup #Mindfulness #Schedule

    Co-Founder & CMO @ Outdoorsy I 4x Entrepreneur I Inc. Top 250 Female Founder List

My secrets to an integrated life: Simple tips to find harmony in the hustle 🌟 Greetings from Outdoorsy Bayfield in South Western Colorado ⛰️ 🎣 ⛺️ I started the week with a restful moment on the sunny deck and I wanted to share some reflections on how I am TRYING to navigate the hustle as we work to build a $3 billion company—while maintaining harmony in life. 🚐💨 🗓️ Schedule, Schedule, Schedule: I've (just) learned the key to balance in my days lies in the art of scheduling. By setting calendar reminders for the important things in life - even if it’s just reflecting on them - I ensure they never slip through the cracks. Whether it's meditation on a powerful new thought, an hour of self-care, or planning a design project I'm looking forward to, it's all in the calendar blocking. Building daily habits that nurture the mind, body, and soul is what propels me forward. From meditation, less meetings to the ones that matter, continuous learning, these habits form the foundation of my integrated life. 💪 Go the Extra Mile: Success isn't just about the hours clocked in during the workday ... it's about going that extra mile when the day is done. Whether it's diving into a passion project thats gives you energy, or investing in personal growth, doing more than the bare minimum is where the magic happens. 🌟 Embrace the Clichés: Remember, clichés are clichés for a reason—they've withstood the test of time because they hold valuable lessons. Embrace them, learn from them, and let them guide you on your journey. Follow experts that break these down. So ➡ commit to scheduling (including moments of calm and time to look after yourself), stack good habits, and embrace the personal enjoyable moments along the way. #Entrepreneur #HarmonyInTheHustle #Productivity #linkedintips #JourneyToSuccess

🌳👨💻 Work is cutting into family time like never before - especially for Gen Z parents. According to Outdoorsy's 2024 Generations in the Wild report, this group is most likely to work during family trips, but is also profoundly dissatisfied with being always connected. Millennials, Gen X, and Baby Boomers seem to have a slightly better work/life balance, but are united in their feeling that working during family trips negatively impacts their enjoyment. Got some hacks for disconnecting? We'd love to hear how you lean into being present during family road trips!👇 Can't cut the connection to Slack, Zoom, and email? Tell us why!
