Reflecting on a wonderful evening last Thursday at the GU Energy Labs HQ where they hosted a 1% for the Planet Session event. This series shines a light on local partnerships who benefit from the monies committed to this incredible nonprofit. Each of these partners do remarkable work in their respective communities and I loved learning more about each of them. Those in the greater Bay area, I encourage you to check out: Challenged Athletes Foundation, Running for a Better Oakland, Sogorea Te Land Trust and Bike East Bay. Kate Williams shared a stat that I think surprised everyone in the room. Less than 10% of money raised in North America comes from the Outdoor industry. So this is a call to both the Outdoor industry, to donate more, and for all leaders of businesses of any/all industries to get involved. Thank you to Tanner Marvel for putting it on my radar. To Magdalena Boulet, Celia Camargo and Brian Vaughan for hosting. Bailey Sherwin for organizing and Gabriel Z. for capturing the evening. Great to see you all!

We're excited to announce four new grantees as part of OXO's ongoing commitment to 1% for the Planet. As long-time members, we're proud to support these outstanding organizations making a positive impact in their communities: 🌱 City Harvest: Working to combat hunger and reduce food waste in New York City by rescuing and redistributing millions of pounds of food. 🌱 The Cultural Conservancy: Committed to preserving indigenous cultures and their sacred lands, fostering environmental stewardship and cultural renewal. 🌱 Food Forward Inc.: Rescuing fresh surplus produce that would otherwise go to waste and providing it to people in need across Southern California. 🌱 Rainforest Alliance: Protecting forests, supporting the livelihoods of farmers and forest communities, and promoting human rights globally. At OXO, we're dedicated to giving back and supporting initiatives that align with our values. We're grateful for the opportunity to contribute to these efforts. The 1% for the Planet model empowers members to make an impact worldwide or right in their backyard. After years of supporting global environmental partners, German-based business member PASSION4IT GmbH decided to channel their giving into the Bavarian Forest National Park while working alongside Planted. So, what does a volunteer day look like when your business is a 1% for the Planet member?
