The Annual OFS Honor and Remember Run is coming soon! On Saturday, August 24, 2024, join veterans, active military, and emergency personnel in a 5k/10k trail run/Ruck run at Cool Springs in Velpen, IN (or virtually). This run honors our military veterans, their families, and all those who died during 9/11 and following that fateful day. All proceeds from the Honor and Remember Run will be used to further the national mission of the Honor and Remember, Inc charitable organization that honors fallen service members and offers support for their families. Today, we celebrate the life of our beloved Phyllis Menke. In the same way we feel everyone in our community is a big family, by extension, we’d like to think that Phyllis was “Nana” to all of us. Her selfless attitude, witty wisdom, and down-to-earth perspective have deeply shaped the culture of our community and the foundation of our values for decades. She was a woman of energy and purpose - and her legacy and care for people, nature, and life have provided a path for all of us to journey along.
