The #Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (#TDPSA) takes effect today, July 1, 2024. This law aims to enhance the protection of personal data for Texas residents by affording consumers new rights and placing affirmative obligations on all covered organizations.   In advance of today’s effective date, Texas’s Attorney General (AG) recently unveiled “a major data privacy and security initiative,” which included the creation of a team focused on “aggressive enforcement” of Texas’s #privacy laws, including the TDPSA.
